Does Outlook 2016 For Mac Support The Caldav Or Carddav
Outlook does not sync iCloud, Google or other CalDAV and CardDAV services. Sync Basics CalDAV & CardDAV are protocols used by Apple, Google, Yahoo and others to sync contacts and calendars. Is it possible with to sync Outlook 2016 with CalDAV and CardDAV servers? I want to use Google Calendar and Google Contacts as well as OwnCloud. So far I'm afraid there is no 'vanilla' way to sync contacts or calendar events (in both directions) without third-party plugins.

I just switched from mac to windows and am setting up my gmail account. I noticed that outlook 2016 does not support synchronization of gmail calendars and contacts, since it does not support caldav and cardav. This is a deal breaker for me and I will run back to my Mac, if there is not plan to support these. Can anyone inform if Microsoft plans on finding a solution for this?
